Need to Know
You Matter Moments - Throughout the week we will be taking many opportunities to celebrate You Matter moments with our students.  The theme throughout the week is generosity and gratitude.  Lean into this theme and have conversations throughout the week with students about creating mindsets of thankfulness and giving back.  Activities this week:
  • Food drive during ELT (Teachers are responsible for counting items and having students deliver them to the food pantry on the first floor during ELT. Look for an email from Danielle or Tony for more details).  Winning ELT gets a pizza or donut party.
  • Valentines for Veterans - Throughout the week students can swing into the IMC to write positive notes to veterans.
  • Lunch room activities - Each lunch hour throughout the week students will be able to engage in positive activities focusing on being generous or sharing gratitude.
  • Wednesday will be an extended advisory. Click on the advisory link before Wednesday to see the planned activities.
Parent-Teacher Conferences - Parents received a letter via email or mail last Tuesday with a specific per family link and instructions to schedule an 8-minute conference (via in-person, WebEx or phone call) with their student's teacher(s) either Thursday, November 9th or Monday, November 13th sometime between 3-6:30pm.  Parent signup will began at 8am on Thursday, October 26th and continue until 24 hours prior to conference date. If parents have any problems, please refer them to Dawn Seehafer.

Parent-Teacher Conferences - In response to teacher feedback, parent-teacher conferences are still on the same nights but the format has changed. Parents are allowed to schedule only one way per night.  Here is what it looks like:

With this said, Dawn is available to block off times when it says "Not an option" if needed.

Dr. Nye's Listening Sessions - Anyone can attend at any of the schools.

Extended Advisory - Wednesday, November 1st we will have an extended advisory between period 2nd and 3rd hour.  Below is the altered schedule and here is the link, You Matter Altered Schedule 11/1/23.  Please print and display in your room for students to prepare.  Please check the Advisory link below before Wednesday to ensure you know what is going on during the extended advisory.

Picture Retake Day - There will be a retake day on Tuesday, November 7th from 7-10a.m. for any student or staff member to get their picture taken for the yearbook. There will be a charge of $9 for students if nothing is really wrong with the pictures. If eyes are closed or something like that, it will be free of charge. Students must bring old pictures back that day to the photographer.

Skyward Login - As a reminder, there is a new process for logging into Skyward.
  • Employees need to click on the button that says “DCE - Secure Login” to log into Skyward.
  • If they click on the button that says “Sign In” they will get a message that says “We are unable to validate the information entered. You may have entered an invalid username or password. -OR- Your account may be locked due to too many invalid attempts.”
