Need to Know

Sophomore Academic and Career Planning Group Presentation - Please be aware that 10th graders will be in a mandatory Presentation with their counselor during ELT/ADV on the dates listed below. Do not assign students to ELT on the date they are scheduled.

Sophomore ELT teachers please share this information with your 10th graders and send them directly to the auditorium on their designated date.

Open Enrollment Benefits - Riana Mefferd has rescheduled her time here at the senior high for Wednesday, November 29th from 7am – 11am in room 210. Refer to her email on 11/1/23 for information and forms.

Snow Day expectations:  Take a few moments within PLCs to review this document.  These new expectations are in place for the coming year regarding snow days.  

Dr. Nye's Listening Sessions - Anyone can attend at any of the schools.

Share your families holiday treat - Families often have unique food items for the holidays.  On December 20th, bring your family's special holiday food to share with colleagues in the teacher lounge! (Potluck of holiday favorites).

Pride Tickets:  All staff are asked to send three Pride tickets to students per week. Use the rotation calendar to help provide an equal rotation. Teachers are welcome to send more than directed on the calendar. This action step should increase the amount of positive feedback parents and students hear about all the good they are doing.

Field Trips

Complete the following at least 2-weeks prior of your field trip:
  • Consider academic and curricular importance when scheduling
  • Receive Principal's approval
  • Make arrangements for payment/cost of trip
  • Complete request form, attach student list (alpha with student's name, no nicknames, & ID number)
  • If taking busses, student lists by bus with staff member name (health supplies for specific students will be packaged per bus).
  • Verify each student field trip permission form is on file in IC
  • Complete Online Bus Request
  • Schedule appointment with Health Aide to review details about the trip
  • Notice of trip and itinerary sent home
  • Notify special education department/case manager of students attending the trip
  • See Mike Raether if you have any questions.

  • Overnight or Out of State Trip Parent Consent and Release of Information fillable form
  • Overnight or Out of State Trip Parent Consent for MEDICAL Treatment and Release of Information

What an absolutely AMAZING SHOW this weekend! To ALL who had a part in it - from directing, to set building, music, to hair, tech, props and more!  Your amazing work was on display! Eighty-seven DC Everest Business and Marketing from both the JH and HS competed in Junior Achievement’s Business Challenge at NTC. The team of Dayton Goralski, Adam Gage and Aiden Alford won the event! They won $1,000 NTC scholarship and they advance to compete at the State challenge in spring. We are proud of all the students, they represented us well!



Thankful for our morning Weightlifting students who took time this week to pack our food bags and clean up the parking lot! Great work!

Absences - Please put advance (non-illness) absences into Skyward and Frontline at least 72 hours in advance or they will not be approved. Extended absences of 3 days or more should be entered at least two weeks in advance (share with staff).
