Weekly Happenings
Last week I was able to connect with a number of high school principals from across the state. One of the topics we discussed for an extended period of time related to how high school programming within CTE departments was preparing students for challenging, rewarding, and needed careers within our communities. Our CTE staff is absolutely tremendous in the opportunities, programming, and support they give to our students. Our students are fortunate to have strong community support and CTE teachers who do a great job utilizing our facilities to give our students real experiences that translate into great careers. CTE teachers - thank you for all that you do! Happy CTE month!CONGRATULATIONS to all four DECA School Based Enterprises! They met the requirements set by National DECA and they all were awarded GOLD! Congratulations Jodi and Alex!
The four Enterprises winning were:
Tree Top Shop, Gold, Everest Expressions, Everest Outfitters, and the Spirit Box/BUBBLR Vending,
DCE DECA has four of the 728 SBE entries that turned gold this year. SBEs earning Gold Level Certification or Gold Re-Certification are eligible to bring members to participate in the SBE Academy and competition at the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California this spring.
