 Weekly Happenings

Thank you to the Club/Activity advisors and/or members for presenting to the sophomores last Tuesday. This was a great opportunity for sophomores to learn about and possibly joining new groups.

Amazing Race:  Thank you to all that had a role in the Amazing Race, with a special shout out to Jo Bailey for her awesome organizational skills!  Kids seemed to be having a lot of fun while learning the building.  Amazing Race winners are:  1st Overall-Mrs. Blanchette, Random Draw-1st Mr. Zibell, 2nd Mr. Coenen, and 3rd Mrs. Bailey.  These ELTs will receive their prizes next week. Congratulations!

Pride Tickets - All staff are asked to send three Pride tickets to students per week.  Use the rotation calendar to help provide an equal rotation. Teachers are welcome to send more than directed on the calendar. This action step should increase the amount of positive feedback parents and students hear about all the good they are doing.

Student Services

Based on the needs of our students and our building goals, we would like to allocate more time in this school year with proactive and preventative servicing for students. In addition to meeting our counseling model national standards, our goals will include:
  • Meeting with 100% of our Sophomores in various capacities
  • Meeting with 100% of our Juniors and their parents/guardians in a scheduled 1:1 conferencing meeting
  • Meeting with seniors as needed
  • Weekly Wellness Wednesday video messaging
  • Monthly SEL lesson ( K-12 College-Career-Life Readiness Standards) during Advisory
  • College educational series throughout the school year
In order to meet our goals, students should be instructed to visit Student Services during ELT (if not requested), lunch, study hall and before/after school. Students should only be coming down during class if there is a crisis and an immediate response is required. There will be a QR code in your mailboxes for students to access the link to make an appointment. Our role as school counselors is to provide short term support and if the students’ team feels additional support is needed, students are referred for community support. Please reach out to our Student Services team with any questions.

  • January 22: This is a teacher workday designed for grading purposes. Teachers are able to work remotely under the following guidelines used last year as well:
